Top up your wallet with Paynow

BillySoft is built around a wallet: money you add in advance, then spend on domains, shared hosting, VPS, and other billable actions without re-entering payment details every time. Understanding that model helps you plan top-ups before big purchases and avoid failed checkouts when your balance is a few dollars short.

Why the wallet exists

Registrars and cloud APIs charge us in near real time. The wallet lets us match your experience—one balance, one place to see spend—while still settling with upstream providers. It also makes partial refunds and failed-registration credits easier to apply back to you as a simple balance adjustment.

If you only ever bought one product once, a wallet might feel like an extra step. As soon as you run a domain, hosting account, and VPS together, the wallet becomes the glue that keeps checkout consistent.

Open My Wallet and choose an amount

From the dashboard sidebar, click My Wallet. You should see your current balance, recent transactions (top-ups, debits, refunds), and a control to add funds.

Pick a preset amount or type a custom value if the UI allows it. Think ahead: if you are about to register a domain and order hosting, top up enough for both plus a small buffer for currency rounding or future renewals.

When you confirm, you are sent to Paynow—our payment partner for Zimbabwe and regional flows. The exact methods shown (EcoCash, cards, ZWL, USD, bank, etc.) depend on what Paynow exposes for your session and what we have enabled.

Complete payment and confirm balance

Follow Paynow’s prompts on screen or on your phone (USSD or app, depending on the method). Do not close the browser tab until Paynow returns you to BillySoft or shows a clear success state. Closing early can leave the session ambiguous even when the debit succeeded.

After success, return to My Wallet and refresh. Most top-ups appear within seconds to a minute. Heavy load or bank delays can stretch that occasionally.

Screenshot or note the Paynow reference when one is shown. If the money left your side but the wallet did not move, that reference is how support reconciles with Paynow’s logs.

When something looks wrong

  • Double charge — send both references in one support ticket; we will match ledger entries\n- Wrong currency display — confirm which currency your wallet uses vs what Paynow charged\n- Pending forever — sometimes the bank authorises late; wait 15–30 minutes, then contact us

We would rather over-communicate on money than leave you guessing. The Support ticket is the right channel for anything that does not self-resolve after a refresh.

Ongoing habits

Check wallet balance before starting a long checkout flow. Set a personal rule: “I top up when I drop below X” so renewals do not surprise you. If you run a business on our platform, align that rule with whoever approves spend.
